Sweet potato with the shape of potato and nutrients is a root. That is commonly found in Pakistan. In the winter season, it is sold on stalls in a large amount, not only children but elders also love to eat it. Due to the sweet taste of it, it is called sweet potato in English. It is equally popular among the rich and poor due to its low price. Especially the poor/ lower class who mostly suffer malnutrition can meet the deficiencies by sweet potato’s charismatic qualities/ features. Sweet potato is eaten roasted boiled. Its pudding (halwa/ sweet) is also so delicious that gives the body warmth and strength. Use with salt and black paper enhance the taste and benefits of it.
Qualities of sweet potato
Due to countless qualities, this vegetable is called a super food. It saves from many diseases. Eight amazing benefits and qualities are as follow:
1. Saves from heart diseases
You will be amazed by knowing that an abundant amount of vitamin B6 in sweet potatoes saves you from heart diseases. It decreases the homocysteine level which mostly causes heart diseases. Due to an increase in homocysteine arteries of the heart begins to harden. Vitamin B6 makes these arteries flexible. Potassium in sweet potatoes helps to regulate the heartbeats. But the heart patients must not use it without the physician’s advice.
2. Treasure of vitamin A
There is as much Vitamin A in a sweet potato that can fulfill your body’s need for vitamin A for a whole day.
